Shivadham

In 1982 Parama
Sadguru Shree Gajanan Maharaj visited the village Ratnapimpri near the
location where the Shivadham Temple now stands. At that time He visited the
small Datta Mandir (Temple of Lord
Dattatreya) in the village and also the house of the Bhagwat family. Later He
visited that family’s farmland. He removed the green shawl which He was
wearing and placed it around the shoulders of one of the family members, Vanraj
Bhagwat. He embraced him and said, “Look at what is in front of you. All this
is a great land of Tapa. Several great
seers have done penance (Tapa) here.
From this place the greatest work will be done in future.”
Several
years passed and Maharaj Shree took Maha-samadhi on 6 December, 1987. Shortly after, Maharaj Shree appeared before
Vanraj in vision and said, ‘We had told you that greatest work is going to be
done from this place. That time is now near. Start constructing a temple here.
When things become difficult, when the planets collide, when it will be the time
of deluge,
Shivadham will be the shelter.”
A few
months later Maharaj Shree again appeared before Vanraj and showed a place in
the southwest corner of his family’s field and asked him to dig a well
immediately.
Soon
after there was a big drought and all wells in the village went dry. However,
people in the surrounding area were able to draw water from Shivadham well where
water was plentiful.
The
Bhagwat family patriarch felt inclined to give a portion of his land for the
purpose of building up a temple. By 1989 the foundation stone was laid and
construction went into full swing.
At Shivadham several miracles have happened and people are just drawn like
a magnet. Farmers nearby state that they hear special Veda Mantras in the
evening although there is no person present reciting them.
On the inauguration day in 1993 well over 100,000 visitors were fed. The
food available was hardly sufficient to feed half that number but it multiplied
by Grace.
Many millennia ago Shivadham was a very special holy place of Tapa. The
famous yogi, Gorakhnath, performed penance there. He is one of the greatest
known yogis who performed many miracles in the areas now known as Middle East,
Afghanistan, India, former Soviet Asian republics and China.
At the dawning of the New Age Shivadham will act as a generator to provide
all the energy for reconstituting the planet.
